IEOx
The IEOx is a project-based forum established in 2020 with the aim of strengthening the IEO Community as well as improving the IEO and introducing new projects.

Our main purpose is to help people from different parts of the world connect through sharing their experiences and overcoming challenges together, as a community, while creating some value.

We aim to form a comfortable, interconnected communication space for experience exchange and international cooperation.
Our Projects
Year-round
Seasonal
The Toastmasters is an all-year round public speaking event held by the IEOx Community once every two weeks with the aim of uniting its members and helping them practice presenting speeches in a group setting. The project provides a positive and supportive place for you and other members to practice, learn, grow, mentor and share.

The structure of our meetings is simple:
1) in the first half, we try out roles to acquire new skills;
2) in the second half, we answer questions, have a discussion and get to know each other better!

The WinterChallenge (WiC) is an online competition created by the IEOx Community for everyone under the age of 21. It’s aim is to help high school students challenge their knowledge of economics and get familiar with the real IEO.

The WiC structure is similar to the IEO and consists of three rounds: the Financial Literacy Game, the Economics Test, and the Business Case. Unlike in the actual IEO, the Business Case round in WiC is divided into two stages:
1) peer-grading (all cases);
2) graded by the professional jury (cases that advance to the finals).

OpenTrack (OT) is a free online competition that is held parallel to the IEO and consists of similar activities. It was created in 2020 with the goal of providing an alternative way of participation in the IEO on less demanding terms to a wider audience. This means that the OT is open for anyone interested, and the age restrictions and selection processes are excluded.

Just like in the IEO, the OpenTrack contestants participate in three rounds: the Financial Literacy Game, the Economics Test, and the Business Case. The competition was created, designed, and run by the OT Workgroup consisting of members of the IEOx Community which you could become a part of!

The aims of the OpenTrack are to provide access to the IEO to a wider audience, help disseminate knowledge of Economics, provide new experiences to the participants and create a community of like-minded people.

The Essay Challenge (EC) is a new project developed by the IEOx Community that aims at giving students an opportunity to express their opinion on global problems through their perspective in an essay form and learn about their differences in cultures and mindsets with peers by grading their work. In other words, this project is about writing an essay and evaluating others' essays.

The Essay Challenge also provides the participants with a chance to get their opinion heard by posting the winners' work not only on the official IEO social media, but also the IEO partners' media.
